(New York, 1922-2013) "280 Degree Yellow Rotation", 1981, two-piece glass sculpture in shades of yellow, orange, red and clear glass, both pieces with signatures, "© Harvey K. Littleton 1981", 19 x 5-1/4 x 5-1/2 in., excellent condition, small form with very minor base scratch. Notes: Harvey Littleton is known as the "Founder of the American Studio Glass Movement." The consignor was for ten years a member of the Penland School of Crafts Board, Spruce Pine, NC, and had the opportunity to know many of the glass artists there and watch the creative process. Over numerous years, this consignor took a deep interest in traveling, meeting top artists, some in their studios and homes, others in gallery shows and began collecting important Art Glass in various venues within the U.S.A. and abroad..
