Vase Chinese, neck with calligraphy on four sides, applied elephant-head and gilt ring handles, flaring body with elaborately painted warrior on one side with calligraphy, verso with courtesan and calligraphy, sides with Buddhist symbols atop calligraphy panels, rectangular base with Qianlong six-character mark in brick red, 9 in., gilt and enamel losses with firing and glaze anomalies; chip to corner of base.
