British, 18th century, uppercase with pediment and blind fretwork tympanum, paneled doors flanked by stop fluted pilasters, adjustable shelved interior, over two candle slides, the lower case with fitted desk interior with deeply carved concave prospect door flanked by stop fluted document drawers, dovetailed construction, oak drawer liners, ogee bracket feet, pierced batwing brasses and escutcheons, 97-1/2 x 47-1/2 x 25-1/2 in.

some original foot elements with repairs, restorations and some later blocking, possibly lacking drawers behind prospect door, some warping to fall board, lacking central ornament, typical shrinkage to panels and minor warping to upper doors, molding closes at one pilaster base, other possible repairs (later finish on secondary surfaces), other surface distress, finish spotting, shrinkage cracks consistent and minor repairs consistent with age and use, appears to retain original brasses, loss to one candle slide facing
Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
