(California, born 1941) Parabolic Verde, 1984, not apparently signed, cast and polished polyester sculpture, Lucite platform base, 20 x 20 x 2 in.. Condition: very small frit at outer edge of base, scratch to back side at 11 o'clock rotation. Notes: Fred Eversley had his first solo exhibition at the Whitney Museum in 1970, In 1977 Eversley became the first Artist in Residence at the Smithsonian's Air and Space Museum. He has also received several prestigious international commissions and his art is in the permanent collections of 35 museums including the Whitney and the Guggenheim, as well as 20 large-scale public art works..
