stoneware jug stamped "MILLER & DAVISON, STASBURG, VA.", 11-1/4 in.; storage jar with cobalt slip decoration at shoulder, stamped, "MILLER & WOODARD, STRASBURG VA", 9-3/4 in.; tapered low jar stamped "GEO W. MILLER, STRASBURG, VA.", 8-1/8 in.; storage jar with cobalt decoration at ridged shoulder stamped "M. HICKERSON, STRASBURG, VA.", 9-1/2 in.; storage jar with angled neck and cobalt leaf decoration stamped "W.H. LEHEW & CO, STRASBURG, VA.", 9 in., all with salt glaze and "1" capacity stamp inside coggle wheel circle

Condition
glaze voids, clay body anomalies and kiln debris as made, some residue to exteriors that illuminate under black light, surface abrasions and minor chips, underfired surfaces, jug with underfired areas and kiln marks around shoulders, Miller & Woodward piece with tape and rim edge frits and wear, Geo W. Miller jar with small 1/4 in. chip to rim, four large firing flaws around belly of jar, M. Hickerson jar with wear to rim edge, illumination to front of jar due to residue, two 1 in. base edge chips and edge wear, 1 in. clay body indention as made, W.H. Lehew jar with 1-1/2 in. and 3/4 in. chip to rim, hairline on base that runs up angled across lower half of jar for about 10 in., other associated hairlines, sticker, kiln debris, base edge wear

Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
