Sideboard probably Continental, 19th century, set with pierced carved backsplash in deep relief with four putti, flower and basket cartouche finial, top with carved molded edge, three dovetailed frieze drawers flanked by carved open mouth lion masks, over three game carved panel doors flanked by floral and figural carved pilasters, shelved interior, paneled back and sides, 87-1/2 x 93 x 27-1/2 in., backsplash measures 44 x 76 x 4-1/2 in.; one small repair to carved element, minor break and repair at cartouche, scattered minor losses to carved elements, one pheasant wing probably restored, one stag lacking ear, other minor surface wear, some color variation, minor cracks and separations, other flaws consistent with age and use.
