British, circa 1785, with inlaid broken arch pediment centering a carved and gilt spread winged phoenix, over three eglomise panels with gilding on green ground, bookcase section with dramatically designed carved and inlaid urn and drapery muntins, adjustable silk lined shelved interior, lower case with fitted desk interior with figured lightwood veneers, prospect door set with conch shell patera, four banded long drawers with fine gilt bronze pulls, on inlaid feet, 107 x 49-1/2 x 22-1/2 in.

good integrity overall, breaks and repairs to ends of pediment with restored uppermost moldings, gilding losses and retouch to phoenix with restorations at legs and plinth, eglomise panels with some chipping and degradation, breaks at hinge attachments for prospect door, one bail handle possibly recast, repairs to rear feet and front feet likely restored, some repairs and restorations to muntins, sun fading and finish distress with some color variation
Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
