- Lot Description
Street and Canals in Venice and In the Islands of the Lagoons, two volumes bound in one, Venice: Ferd. Ongania, Publisher, 1895-1896, with black and white heliogravures, 22 x 15 in. good condition, in decorated cloth and leather spine, front board is detached and the back board is separating, previous owner has taped the spines, there should be 80 plates: in part 1, there are 44 plates and in part 2, there are 47, there is a loose plate laid into the front, the set is missing eight or nine plates, very light foxing on the plates, on the index page of part 2, the missing plate descriptions have been excised. Provenance: Collection of Charles Edward Brodnax Hansell and Sylvia Hansell, Mimosa Hall, Roswell, Georgia; by descent in family
