86 total images in lot, Ten Civil War related images: Union General Cuvier Grover carte de visite, signed at bottom "grover" (not believed to be in his hand); two Gettysburg related Stereo Views; two small oval velvet pillboxes with separate images of soldier and presumably his wife; various assorted images of unattributed soldiers, some with armaments, at least one with color enhancement; three associated gutta percha cases; 27 assorted tintypes: 19th century, uniformed workers, ladies, fancy attire, stoic posed images, Roma couple, bicycle, children, possibly one woman of color; 34 additional tintypes: pugilism, uniformed workers, ladies, children, fancy attire, occasional color enhancement; four images: Tom Thumb wedding, circus performer, others; five photojournalism images: Operation Under Ether at Massachusetts General Hospital, 1846; four Stereo Views: Mont Pelee volcano aftermath, captured German cannons in France, Stranded vessels at the wharf in Galveston, and F.A. Rinehart view of Native American land in Nebraska; six historic images: cartes de visite including General Winfield Scott, signed at bottom "Gen Scott" (not believed to be in his hand); uniformed soldier, seated holding sword; Martha Ann Maxwell, with rifle and loyal dog; unattributed judge in robes; unattributed lady in repose on sofa; two images, in Stereo View format of Waub-ojeeg "White Fisher", Ojibwe Chief; largest in lot 8-1/2 x 11 in. overall

Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
