French or Italian, 19th century, pale variegated rouge marble top over three bronze-mounted and inlaid long drawers, lower two drawers with central panel depicting an interior scene with a maiden with mother-of-pearl inlaid necklace and earrings, a man and a jester with inlaid curtain surround, inlaid side panels, gilt bronze mounts, 34-1/2 x 49-1/4 x 22 in., period elements with some rebuilding and restorations, drawer facings possibly with some reveneering (plugged holes for previous brasses do not extend through marquetry veneers), some fading to central marquetry panel, some patches and repairs to feet, restorations to top boards, other scattered repairs, restorations and surface flaws.
