- Lot Description
mid 18th century, with two fan carved drawers, deeply shaped skirt with central whale tail, cabriole legs and pad feet, 75-1/2 x 42 x 20-1/2 in.
Provenance: Early note pasted in drawer bottom reads: "This bureau was distributed to Carrie S. Ball from the estate of Caroline Ball, January 1887, property of her grandmother, Lois Camp Ball, who was the daughter of Capt. Luke Camp. It is supposed that Lois inherited it from her father, who resided in the house from which this bureau was taken. Its age is unknown, but as near as can be estimated, it is over 100 years old. generally good condition, refinished, brasses, two brasses replaced/reset, skirt drops replaced, very minor patches at drawer lips, other typical minor repairs and surface flaws

Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
