SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA", cylinder with faint engraved scene, marked "COLTS PATENT No 823", frame marked "COLTS PATENT", original walnut grips, strap engraved "Alfred Rhett/Col 1st So. Ga Art./1863"; ; with Portrait of Colonel Alfred Rhett, 1st Artillery, CSA (Confederate States of America), by Alicia Rhett, 1960, and after a photograph, oil on canvas, 20 x 16 in., 20th century frame action does not function properly, missing one screw to back strap, small area of brown residue (possibly paint) on barrel and frame, barrel with scattered light rust, loading lever latch loose (spring in latch broken).
