British or possibly American, 18th century, the crest with large boldly carved spread-wing phoenix on a pierced support and flanked by leaf and floral ornaments, leaf and floral streamers and pierced leaf and
rocaille drop, 54-1/2 x 32 in., excellent condition overall, backboard replaced, later bracing to upper ornaments, some scattered very minor cracks with scattered chips to gilding (possibly regilt?), cracks and some possible patches to phoenix support, some distress to mirror plate (appears to be an early plate but not removed).
