flintlock pistol with 8 in. round barrel, engraved lock plate stamped "KETLAND", silver inlay at grip, brass ramrod thimbles, trigger guard, butt cap, and side plate, walnut stock, 14-1/4 in. overall; percussion belt pistol with 5-3/4 in. octagonal barrel stamped "LONDON", bead front sight, silver band inlays at breach, hallmarks on left side, back action lock plate stamped "VAN WART, SON-&-Co" with engravings, belt clip on left side of walnut stock, steel ramrod thimbles and trigger guard, brass percussion cap holder at butt, silver shield inlay on grip, 9-1/2 in.

Condition
handling wear to metal components and stocks, patina and oxidation to metal components with some dings and abrasions, flintlock with 4 in. split in fore stock, rust in barrel, crack to brass trigger guard, percussion gun with rust in barrel, abrasions and residue on stock, 2 in. loss to fore stock, hairline crack with loss to brass at cap holder, actions on both pistols appear to function

Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
