19th century, each in gilt and enamel leaf and vine decoration, comprising: pair of large lidded ice buckets, 13 x 14 x 10-1/8 in.; large double handled compote, 7-5/8 x 14-1/8 x 12 in.; pair of reticulated compotes, 6-3/8 x 11-3/4 in. diameter; pair of fitted underplates, 11-1/4 in. diameter; pair of tazzas, 4-1/4 x 9 in. diameter; 24 dinner plates, 9 in. diameter; three double handled plates, 10-3/8 x 9-1/4 in.; pair of salad bowls, 9-1/2 x 9 in.
Note: According to consignor notes this dessert service was commissioned from England by James Stephen Bulloch for his new plantation house, Bulloch Hall, in Roswell, GA. Theodore Roosevelt's parents were married in its dining room in 1853, quite possibly using this service for the celebration.

Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
