Rosewood Half-Tester Bedstead possibly Prudent Mallard, circa 1860, shaped and molded canopy set with silk lining on cluster-column supports, the headboard set with a carved urn, floral and scroll crest, foot posts with telescoping finials (for netting), probably original surface with old dry varnish, 105 x 75 x 93 in. (inside 66 x 84 in.) top of canopy lacking applique, otherwise generally good condition, applique for headboard a different color at back but appears to be original, veneer loss at one front foot, water damage to molding at one foot, other surface wear and abrasions with some minor repairs at moldings and other scattered minor flaws, reduced in height. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser’s risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
