(New York/New Hampshire, 1837-1908) Calm Inlet, possibly Bailey's Island, Maine, signed lower right "AT Bricher", oil on canvas with Devoe & Co. palette colorman stamp, 18 x 39 in.; possibly original gilt wood and composition frame, original stretcher and tacking edge, crackle, cupping, flaking lower left; frame resurfaced. Notes: For a similar view see The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, [Marine Landscape], Accession Number: 08.237.3. Provenance: By descent in family (three generations with listing in early 20th century inventory of consigner's grandfather's New York estate)
