London, attributed to John Dwight's Fulham Pottery, dated 1737, incised with the coat of arms of the Worshipful Company of Armourers, sprig decorated scene below of a gentleman's punch party, incised inscription "Thos Sparrow/att Chippenham/1737", flanked by sprigs ofÿoak trees, flower heads, and buildings, stag hunt below with huntsman on horseback, hounds chasing a stag, with unmarked silver rim mount, 8-1/2 x 8-1/4 in., Provenance: Bonham's, London, Lot 18, purchased September 13, 2006 for œ6,240; Property from the Collection of Dudley and Constance Godfrey; Note: This "Tho Sparrow" salt glazed stoneware mug was exhibited in English Ceramics 1580-1830: A Commemorative Catalogue of ceramics and enamels to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the English Ceramic Circle 1927-1977, August 11-28, 1977, item no. 23. Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
