- Lot Description
LOUISSIANNA/NEW YORK, 1919-1985 A large collage of painted papers by Abstract Expressionist Fritz Bultman. Titled "Cape May II", the work is an assemblage of slightly crinkled polychrome painted papers creating an abstract biomorphic form. The work is signed "F.B" and dated "79" lower left. The verso retains the collection and exhibition information.
Provenance: Exhibited at the New Orleans Museum of Art, August 7th to October 3rd, 1993. Exhibited at Greenville County Museum, November 9th, 1993 to January 2nd, 1994. Exhibited at the Art Museum of Western Virginia, April 29th to July 10th, 1994. Exhibited at the Provincetown Art Association and Museum, September 9th to October 30th, 1994. From the collection of Ruth Latta, Provincetown, Massachusetts.
