Nicola Simbari (Italy, 1927-2012) framed acrylic on canvas, signed "Simbari" to lower right. Has a sight image height of 42-1/2" with width of 38-1/2". Framed height is 4'2" with width of 3'11". Purchased by consignor directly from the artist; comes with Certificate of Authenticity signed by Simbari and Dated October 14, 1993. Nicola Simbari (Italy, 1927-2012) was a semi abstract impressionist painter who studied at the Academia delle Belle Arti in Rome. The first major exhibition of his work was at the World's Fair in Brussels in 1958. His paintings are in major collections including at the Bank of Tokyo, the Cincinnati Fine Arts Department, and the Christian Dior collection in Paris. He died in Lazio, Italy in 2012 at the age of 84.
