Jean Jansem limited edition lithograph depicting a woman in a handkerchief with an orange background; signed "Jansem" to bottom right corner and numbered "95/150" to bottom left corner; marked to back of frame "Jansem-see booklets in bookcase"; measures approximately 35-1/2" x 27-1/2" with wooden frame and has a sight image of approximately 28-1/2" x 20-1/2". Hovhannes "Jean" Semerdjian (9 March 1920 _ 27 August 2013), also known as Jean Jansem, was a French-Armenian painter. Jansem's artworks are internationally known, and are part of museum collections throughout France, Japan and the United States. He was awarded by the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in 1953 and by the Knight of the French Legion of Honour in 2003. The President of Armenia awarded Jansem a Medal of Honor for his ñreinforcement of Armenian-French cultural ties.î
