Heinrich Richter (Germany, May 15, 1920 - June 8, 2007) pair of unframed lithographs; one abstract depiction in shades of pink, black, and violet and marked to bottom left illegibly, numbered to bottom left "3/3", and signed and dated to bottom right "Richter '67"; measures approximately 23" x 19-1/4"; the other is an abstract figural depiction in shades of black, white and blue; signed and dated "Richter '69" to bottom right corner and numbered "7/50" to bottom left corner; measures approximately 30" x 21-1/2"; both in Very Good condition. Heinrich Richter (May 15, 1920-June 8, 2007) was a contemporary German painter and printmaker. In the last days of the war in 1945 Richter fled to Berlin, after he had lost his right arm. Accordingly, he trained himself to painting with his left hand. Richter has had numerous solo and group exhibitions in Germany, France, Sweden, USA and Japan.
