Late 18th Century English sideboard made with mahogany, oak and other secondaries having banded and string inlay to the top, over three drawers all with string and banded inlay. Finely cut dovetail construction with through mortise and tenon and having pegged and hand cut nails. Extraordinary inlay to the center bow front drawer having sheaf of wheat and torch inlay with foliate design to the exterior, lined for silverware to the interior and flanked by deep drawers divided for bottles all resting on tapered square legs ending in cuff feet; measures approximately 35-1/2" high, 78-1/8" wide and 26" in depth. Expensive commissioned piece with compartment added at the request of the buyer, compartment no longer accessible. Includes a key. With repairs.
