Edgar Degas (French, 1834 - 1917) unframed mixed media portraying a ballerina at the barre, with leg outstretched on top. Signed to lower right "Degas", and measures approximately 14-7/8" in height with width of 13-3/4". No certificate of authenticity accompanies this piece, however style & signature are representative of the artist's known works. Provenance: from the estate of a prominent European & Texas collector, known to not only to have collected quite an amazing assortment of notable art, but to have befriended a vast majority of the artists of whose work was acquired. In overall good condition, all measurements are approximate.
