American, possibly New England, with turned spindles on the arms, legs, and back supports, all of which are pegged in; the back of seat features older cut nails; has some screws added and a replaced crest rail; signed to bottom "B. Weil"; measures approximately 33-1/4" tall to top of back, 17-1/2" tall to top of seat, 35" wide, and 13-1/4" deep.
