- Lot Description
Cassell's Book of the Horse (ca. 1880) Chromolithographs set of four (4). Matted and framed under glass featuring plates #2 "The Arab Pony Charger of General Sir Hope Grant, G.C.B. in the Indian Mutiny of 1853 and Chinese Campaign of 1860", #16 "Fair Nell", #17 "Stilton A. Hunter", and #20 "Thoroughbred Mare and Foal". All identically framed and matted under glass in frames measuring 16-1/2" in height by 18-1/2" in width with the sight image measuring 8" in height by 9-1/2" in width. All measurements are approximate. In good condition overall consistent with age.
