- Lot Description
Southwestern concho belt with eighteen sterling shell motif disks each set with a turquoise stone; signed to top "C.M. Yazzie Sterling"; measures approximately 36" long; in Good condition. Known as "One of the best Silversmiths of his Era" C.M. Yazzie not only worked with turquoise, he did exceptional inlay work which was then very unusual for a Navajo silversmith as Zunis primarily used this technique. Some would say his inlay work was as good as the Great Zuni silversmiths and lapidarists of his day.
