- Lot Description
A magnificent woodcut entitled White Oak at Dusk by Woldemar Neufeld (1909 - 2002). This work was commissioned by the Close family of New Mexico according to the Wilfrid Laurier University Permanent Art Collection. It was designed as a book cover for the Close family of New Mexico.
Neufeld made only 15 copies of this print, at least one of which is in the Laurier permanent collection. It is a fine example of his varied artistic interests as he is most often known for his cityscapes of New York City.
