- Lot Description
Possibly my favorite lot of the auction, this silverplate candleholder - and I may be quite mistaken in the identity - features two birds sitting atop a log having floral decoration in front. It is stamped with manufacturer and patent number. Dating would be c. 1875-80 or so. This uncommon item is ripe for a curious collector looking for Japanese influence decorative arts.
