• Lot Description

  Philip Gilbert Hamerton enthused that A Sunset in Ireland was the finest etching in the world, made by the leading etcher Sir Seymour Haden (British, 1818 - 1910, a British surgeon and artist.

  This version is plate signed 1863 and bears a peculiar mark of R in a diamond. Not examined out of the frame.

  This print is held by museums and advanced print collectors.
