This extravagant, sumptuous, over the top advertisement for Ripans appeared in the New York Herald on Sunday December 10, 1899. It features a scene familiar to many generations of Americans of Santa delivering his goodies, standing before the hearth with stockings hung with care.
Ripans was a laxative manufactured in New York City, claiming to alleviate a laundry list of gastrointestinal related maladies.
This extraordinary survivor from the 19th C. is surely one of a kind. We could find no archives of the Herald for this time period.
The ad is in plastic inside of a plastic sleeve and will mail flat.
