- Lot Description
CHRISTENSEN AGATE COMPANY, Original Package. An extremely rare original No. 1 Guineas box with thirteen Guineas. The box is all original. Includes the original cotton paper insert that protected the marbles. The pasted on Guineas label (which is typical) has a small tear at the bottom (as if someone had tried to peel it off to see what it said underneath. Also the lid has small line of staining at the right edge. Box bottom is intact with a little water staining on the base. The cotton paper insert is intact, except for a little loss to the wax paper backing. Includes thirteen original Guinea marbles ranging in size from. An interesting range in sizes for a No. 1 box, but I believe that the marbles are all original to the box. The wax paper backing has toning on it that would indicate that the cotton paper was folded into the bottom of the box and the marbles were laying on the wax paper. The shadows remain from the toning match the range of sizes of the marbles, and the shadows indicate that there were more marbles in the box at one point in time. The remaining Guineas are excellent and all in Mint condition. A rare opportunity to own one of the holy grails of marble collecting. Cambridge OH, circa 1927-1930. The box is 3-3/4" x 3-3/4" x 3/4" and Mint(-). Marbles range from 5/8" to 23/32" and are all Mint. A very rare opportunity, very few of these exist, and they rarely come up for sale.

All of our shipping is conducted in-house. Your invoice will include a shipping charge. We charge the actual cost of shipping plus a buck for the box and packing materials. If when we ship your package your actual cost of shipping is less than we charged you then we will refund the difference. We ship within a day or two of payment, and we’ll send the tracking number to you via email. The invoice will include a Payment Button. All packages are insured. Packages over $200 require a signature upon delivery per our insurance company. Packages valued over $2500 must be shipped via USPS Express Mail or FedEx Overnight Shipping, in order to be insured. We ship to the address on your invoice. If you want us to ship to a different address, just let us know. The only exception to this are items paid through Paypal. Those items must be shipped to your Paypal address in accordance with Paypal rules. If you are a foreign bidder, be aware that the cost of postage tends to be very high for any packages over 15 ounces. Contact us before bidding for an estimate of shipping costs. In addition, you are solely responsible for any customs charges or taxes levied by your country.
