Teak, cane. Produced in France / India for Punjab University, Chandigarh, India.
The back of one chair painted "IV-318 / W.St. 6/1"; the stretcher of the other painted "IIT/HA/464".Each: 29.5" H x 19" W x 17" D
Seat height: 18"Provenance: Central Library of Punjab University, Chandigarh, India
Condition
Very good condition. Newer caning. Wood surfaces have been cleaned and refinished preserving heavy older wear and areas of filler. Finish unevenness, scratches and scuffing throughout the structurally sound frames. Back of one chair has been repaired. The back edge of one seat has three black painted letters.
