MARTIN EISLER + CARLO HAUNER
Pair of 'Costela' lounge chairs and ottomans, ca. 1952
Imbuia, enameled steel, vinyl. Manufactured by Forma, Austria / Italy / Brazil.
Each chair: 29" H x 27" W x 26" D
Seat height: 14"
Each ottoman: 14" H x 27" W x 16.5" D
Condition
Very good restored condition. Wooden slats with light scratches or scuffing but otherwise present very well. One chair with a repair to the right corner of the top back slat. The other chair with a stabilized crack to the second slat from the top. Frames are missing endcaps and appear to have been repainted at some point. Interiors of frame and screws with heavy oxidation. Vinyl cushions have occasional black paint marks, most of which are hidden when installed.
