Overall very good condition. The wood surfaces appear to have been sensitively reconditioned at some point in the history of the piece to revitalize the rich quality of the spruce wood. The wood presents with scattered surface scratches, minute abrasions and edge wear consistent with age and gentle use. The two lower footrests present with more wear and discoloration to the corners consistent with gentle use. One of the supporting wood blocks to the underside of the seat has been professionally replaced in the Baraúna workshop with the same wood of the chair, not visible unless closely inspected. The seat with a few shallow impressions, scuffs and scratches. The backrest has a fine hairline crack measuring approximately 4 ½ inches, stable. The top of one leg with a fine hairline crack measuring approximately ½ inch that appears to have been sensitively filled at some point in the history of the piece.
