STONE: Ruby (Corundum)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This Cat's Eye Ruby is declared to be a "unique and notable gemstone" by the GIA. This Madagascar-mined ruby displays a strong chatoyancy, due to the rutile needle inclusions. This ruby shows no signs of having been heat treated, indications are that the purplish red color are natural. This rare gemstone is a prize for collectors or can be set into a fine piece of luxury jewelry.
