DESCRIPTION DETAIL: An incredible specimen of an authentic Mexico City 8 Escudo fully dated 1711. This coin ha a very clear and near complete strike with a full centered cross and a nearly complete sheild. It is professionlly set in 14kt gold with a nice heavy shackle bail. Nice original surface foun on the beach near the infamous cabin wreck by a highly acclaimed treasure hunter. Reluctantly consigned to our auction with a very reasonable reserve. Coin has a nice full weight of 72 grams.
