After years of professional affiliation, we have partnered with Vose Galleries of Boston to bring you an event that will feature a curated selection of paintings and drawings by notable American artists such as Charles Woodbury, Winslow Homer, Benjamin Champney, and Jane Peterson. Our teams are excited to host an event that honors the lineages of both Vose and Barridoff while forging new traditions and experiences. Ferguson's plein air depictions of Provincetown were admired for their freshness of color and intuitive use of space, particular in the arrangement of houses and other structures within the composition in a somewhat cubist fashion. This quality caused her to be remembered as "a modernist long before the modern movement had taken its hold on American painting."
