British Webley & Scott Pistol Smoke Grenade Launcher, dated 1916, double action, the left upper frame marked " "Pistol.Grenade.2.1/2", 1916, Webley & Scott Ltd, London & Birmingham", "No.2 Mark "I" *t", two broad arrows and three British proof marks, marked above the trigger guard "No.2 Mark 1", marked at front barrel section with serial number "4084" in two places and "T.E.C.. marked in front of trigger guard "4084"" and repeated above trigger guard, at left of trigger guard "179" twice, right side of hammer marked "36", broad arrow and proof mark at left frame over girip, steel, plastic grips, lanyard ring, black finish with light scratches but overall good, the breech opens by downward push of serrated lever at top of the frame, very difficult and did not open, for shipping 6.5" x 13" x 35", 5.55lbs (60) *Provenance: Collection of Billy Wayne Dickey, USN, (Texas, 1936-2022)
