Framed pen and ink drawing on paper, Kaleidoscopic Portrait, pen signed lower right Pedro Friedeberg (Mexican, b.1936), sight: approx 14"h, 9"w, overall: approx 20"h, 16.25"w, 5.75lbsProvenance: the work was consigned to us by a collector of Friedberg’s art, he said that he purchased it in 2010 from Diego Mathai (a close contemporary of Friedeberg) who had purchased it directly from the artist, he states that it is circa 1970’s and unusual as Friedberg does not paint with much green**

Provenance: the work was consigned to us by a collector of Friedberg’s art, he said that he purchased it in 2010 from Diego Mathai (a close contemporary of Friedeberg) who had purchased it directly from the artist, he states that it is circa 1970’s and unusual as Friedberg does not paint with much green
Due to the reflective nature of the plexi cover the work is difficult to photograph, it was examined in frame, paper shows an inherent rough edge, the work appears free of apparent rips or tears, a UV examination is unremarkable, we believe it to be an original work as described, there is no COA accompanying this work
