French Provincial Louis XIII style armoire, early 18th c., stepped molded cornice, pair of doors with geometric paneling, hand-chamfered back paneling, rising on turned front feet, approx 88"h, 67.5"w, 26"d
Condition
12.2.24-In my opinion regarding LOT: 3223-The large structure is sturdy and intact with impressive hinges and old locks, the upper right lock plate is lacking one old nail, thus slightly loose, key seems to operate upper lock only, the left lock plates are faux, the overall structure may have been reduced at one time as there are seams at center, however this is not readily apparent, there evidence of old woodworm, some small abrasions, rubs, and minor nicks, a small loss upper left side crown, and some general minor surface wear, all commensurate with origin, age, and use, the patina is lovely and warm with some variation to its tone
