Louis XV style matched veneer bonheur du jour/ ladies writing desk, in the manner of Maison Millet, with bronze dore mounts, cartonnier surmounted by an enfant guerrier, central white dial with Roman numeral hour markers, over five shallow drawers flanked by candelabra and figural cherub mounts, on parquetry desk with inset writing surface, fitted with three drawers, rising on cabriole legs, ending on sabots, winding springs appear to be good, however full operational status of clock unknown, see report, approx 55"h, 44.5"w, 27"d
3.12.25-In my opinion regarding LOT: 3186-The structure is overall sturdy, metal mounts appear securely attached and present throughout with some spotting, rubs, inherent pitting, and patination, the wood structure is intact with some small areas of wood wear, small touchups, a small veneer loss noted to center upper small drawer, imperfections and light wood wear, there is a small mar/rug located on the back (right side), see images, embossed leather writing surface shows some light wear and wrinkling, drawers slide well and are largely clean to interiors, a key does not accompany the clock, the winding springs appear to be good, however we are not able to access the interior to examine the clock and works, that would entail removing ormolu, I am sorry, we do not know the state or full operational status of the works, the dial is intact with a small loss at top, paint shows light wear, all as commensurate with use
