French Louis XVI style mahogany writing desk, 20th c., gilt-embossed leather writing surface, five drawers, leather-inset slides, on tapering fluted legs, approx 30"h, 63"w, 31.5"d Start Price: $350.00
Condition
1.13.24-LOT – 1614-The desk is sturdy condition and the drawers slide well, interior drawer exhibit only light wear, the leather top has fading and wear to gilt along front edge, some slight spotting, impressions, and surface wear, wood shows typical and light wear, light abrasions and small nicks, there is tonal variation to the front of desk (side without drawers) with it being a bit redder, it is finished (paneled) nicely all of the way all of the way around, metal shows patination, all mentioned commensurate with age and use, due to gallery placement I am unable to examine slides, please refer to online images
