- Lot Description
Louis XVI style gilt painted wall mirror, early 20th c., having ribbon crest, over ovular frame with draped floral swag, ribbon twist molding and beaded trim, encasing beveled mirror plate, some minor silver loss to mirror plate, approx 43"h, 51"w, 39lbs
Condition
2.11.25-In my opinion regarding LOT: 1215-The mirror is currently hung on the wall, please refer to online images for a photo of the back, from my vantage point, I all swag appears present, there are visible joints where swag is joined together and a few typical small areas of wood wear/loss, paint shows some small rubs, and wear throughout, the seam/join at left side frame shows a small stable gap, the mirror plate has a thick bevel, I observe only some very minor spotting concentrated to the left lower corner and a few minute spots scattered about the lower edge, all mentioned, minor and commensurate with age and this type of mirror
