Japanese cloisonne vase, having flared rim over narrow neck and gently tapered body, pale pink ground with dense foliates, including chrysanthemums and cherry blossoms, and blue and white bird with outstretched wings, central body hairlines, approx 24"h, 10.25"diam, 6.5lbs **Provenance: From the estate of Carl Carter (Texas, 1955-2023)**

05.16.24: In my opinion regarding LOT 2051: I note that the vase is presently intact, and stands securely against flat display surface, there is typical minor pitting, and a small gauge located at the upper central body, on the opposite side of the central body there is a circular hairline with small spot of loss in the center, I observe a network of minor hairlines and surface wear at the lower central body, and typical minor dents to the exposed metal rim
