- Lot Description
Chinese export blanc-de-chine porcelain jardiniere/ planter, with sculpted branches bearing longevity peaches and roses in high relief encircling the exterior, approx 19"h, 26"diam, 66lbs **Note: Matching smaller pair offered in this auction** **Provenance: the contents of the prominent San Antonio Holt Family's Terrell Hills home**

10.9.24: In my opinion regarding LOT 1279: : I note that the jardiniere is presently intact, close visual and UV light examination conclude that the planter is currently free from observed chipping, with sparse areas of minute crazing to the glaze, and typical firing flaws concentrated at areas of curvature of thin segments of the applied peach and foliate elements, particularly to the thin, narrow ends of peach leaves, these small seams are inherent to the firing process and are common, most of the seams remaining under the glaze, but others have continued and split through the glaze, all sculpted elements currently remain secure, there is one rose that is almost entirely fractured around its joinery to the basin that is loose to the touch, but remains in place at this time due to it being slightly encased by the grouping of three peaches surrounding it
