Black Forest finely carved walnut armchair, late 19th c., having pierced branch-form back with central bear cub and oak leaf motifs, scrolled armrest with bear head hand holds, above shaped seat with incised burls, supported by two standing bears, each with mouth agape revealing teeth, inset glass eyes and well defined fur, approx 44"h, 38"w, 21"d, seat height: approx 19"h **Provenance: A prominent Terrytown, Austin, Texas estate**
