German Rococo style enamel and gilt metal music box, case by Emil Brenk, 20th c., lid depicting "The Swing," after Jean-Honore Fragonard (French, 1732-1806), marked "EB METALL" to underside, operates sporadically, likely in need of adjustment, approx 2"h, 4"w, 2.5"d, 1.25lbs Start Price: $1,000.00

11.6.23-In my opinion regarding LOT: 1408- the enamel case appears overall intact, I note some slight wear to case and to bird, metal shows some light patination and surface wear, the key is present, the automaton is operating however the lid does not readily open or close by itself at this time and it closes intermittently during play, the lid sits slightly askew, however does appear to close completely, see images, it may be that the mechanism needs cleaning or adjusting, I am not an expert on such items so please let me know if I may answer further questions as all sales are final
