- Lot Description
French Louis XVI style mahogany demilune sideboard, 20th c., having shaped marble top, over five drawers and five cabinet doors, with gilt metal trim, revealing shelved interior, rising on fluted tapered legs, ending on brass cap feet, approx 39"h, 96.5"w, 20"d
Condition
2.16.25-In my opinion regarding LOT: 2438-please pardon my images and refer to online photos for a full view, due to gallery location and the highly reflective nature of the sideboard it is very difficult to photo, any white you see is reflections, the structure stands sturdy, the marble top is overall intact with some small typical minute scattered chipping noted along the back and molded edge, the top exhibits some overall light spotting/discoloration, and a few light blemishes, see images, the lacquer case is overall intact, I note some fine lines/crazing to lacquer mainly noted throughout drawers and left side panel, very difficult to photo, there is some slight wood wear, nicks and minor rubs to case, metal shows some patination, drawers slide well, the front left drawer is a bit tight, drawers retain a worn green liner, doors operate smoothly and interior shelving has only light wear
