French Louis XVI style mahogany sideboard, early 20th c., breakfront case with conforming marble top, three drawers, center door with symbols of the harvest in relief, flanked by side cabinets each faced with a laurel wreath, interior shelf, on tapering legs, approx 42.75"h, 69.75"w, 26.25"d
Condition
02.07.24: In my opinion regarding LOT 1598: I note that the sideboard is currently intact and sturdy, the marble top displays inherent natural inclusions and fissures, a minor glue repair to the front edge right corner of breakfront, as well as having a minor reinforced fracture at the left side edge, and some filled natural fissures, and typical minute chipping, mostly contained to the unfinished back edge, the drawers and cabinet doors operate smoothly, I observe water rings and staining to the interior shelving, and a small strip of trim on the bottom edge of the apron appears to have been patched, I also note a minor glue repair to the trim directly above the front right leg, and typical minor surface wear such as light abrasions and chips to carved elements
